AUSTRIAN EDELWEIS BOUQET (5 DAYS)

DAY 01: VIENNA
Morning arrival to Vienna. Meet & greet followed by a panoramic city tour. During the tour we will see the ‘old town’, or city centre, encircled by the Ringstrasse (Ring Road), a grand boulevard constructed along the old city walls, which were torn down at the end of the 19th century. Along the Ringstrasse are many famous and grand buildings, including the Rathaus, the Austrian Parliament, the Hofburg Palace, the Natural History Museum, the Museum of Art History and the State Opera House. Time permitting we’ll have a walk to St. Stephan’s Cathedral. We’ll pass by the famous Hundertwasser’s masterpiece house, and have a stop at Maria Theresia’s baroque residence, Schönbrunn palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02: VIENNA-SALZBURG
Transfer to Salzburg. Upon arrival in Salzburg, you will be transfered to your accommodation. The rest of the day will be at leisure. Salzburg is the 4th largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg. Salzburg`s “Old Town” with its world famous baroque architecture is one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps, and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting. It is the birthplace of Mozart and the setting for parts of the musical and film “Sound of Music”. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 03: SALZBURG
We’ll spend the day in the memory of the famous “The Sound of Music “ movie, filmed in the area. Travel into the beautiful mountain area south west of Salzburg, the area Maria called her 'Home away from Home'. Let our guides enchant you with the local history then take a trip into the underworld caverns of the Salt Mines. Let yourself be amazed with the history of how the Salt 'White Gold' gave this area its history and wealth. This tour combination gives you an unforgettable insight into 'The whole Story of Maria von Trapp', plus the wonders of Mother Nature at her best. A full day of fun, amazement, history and adventure. We’ll stop at amusing Hellbrunn’s palace gardens afterwards. And have a late afternoon walk through Salzburg’s city center, to see the main sights as the Cathedral’s Square, Mozart’s birthplace, Old Square and taste the famous Fürsts’ chocolate Mozartkugeln. Overnight stay.

DAY 04: SALZBURG-INNSBRUCK
We’ll move to Innsbruck early in the morning. We will visit the Swarovski Crystal World, having the opportunity to explore the fantastic and sparkling world of Swarovski crystals, created by Andre Heller as a pure invitation to dream with 14 subterranean Chambers of Wonder.  We’ll drive to the city center which offers imperial monuments and contemporary urban design. Olympic records and opulent past splendour. Open to the world and rich in traditions, the Tyrolean capital has always been a city of many faces.  We will pass by the famous triumph gate of Innsbruck, the Innsbruck imperial palace Hofburg, the imperial chapel Hofkirche, the old town of Innsbruck and cross the city districts of Saggen and Hötting. When reaching the Innsbruck city district Wilten, we will leave the bus on the Bergisel mountain and visit the olympic stadium. An elevator will take us to the top of the Bergisel Ski Jump from where you can enjoy a splendid panoramic view over Innsbruck and the Inn valley. Finally, we will have a walk in the gardens of the famous Ambras castle. Overnight stay.

DAY 05: INNSBRUCK-VIENNA
Transfer to Vienna. End of services.
